About

Built by someone who lost selections in a WhatsApp thread.

The post-selection chaos is embarrassing. You've delivered a technically excellent shoot. The client is happy. But somewhere between the Google Drive folder link, the three WhatsApp voice notes, and the screenshot your client sent of “the ones they want,” you have spent three hours of your life reconstructing a list that should have taken five minutes to produce.

fotoz.in started as a spreadsheet workaround. Then a shared Notion database. Then a crude web form. None of it was good enough because none of it was designed for the actual workflow — which involves a desktop app for upload, a mobile experience for the client, a dashboard for the photographer, and a hand-off artifact for the editor.

So we built that. The desktop helper runs on your Mac (Windows coming), handles the upload and export steps that require access to your local drive, and stays out of the way the rest of the time. The gallery is a mobile-first web app — no download for your client, no account creation, just a link and an OTP. The dashboard is where you manage events and watch selections come in. The PDF is automatically generated when your client submits.

We launched to a small group of photographers in Hyderabad in early 2026. We're growing based on word of mouth, which is the only kind of growth that tells us we're building something real.

What we believe

Your originals never leave your machine without you choosing to upload them.

The helper app processes previews that you point it at. Your RAW files, your full-res originals, your entire library — none of it is touched unless you explicitly run an export. We don't want custody of your work.

The tool should disappear once you've used it.

fotoz.in shouldn't feel like software you “manage.” It should feel like a very fast, very reliable middleman for one specific step in your workflow. If it's adding work instead of removing it, that's our failure.

Indian wedding photographers have specific problems that deserve specific solutions.

The 600-photo three-ceremony shoot with six ceremonies. The editor in another city. The client who will definitely use WhatsApp to send feedback regardless of what you send them. We're building for this reality, not a generic global photography market.

We tell you when something doesn't work.

If a feature is missing, we say it's missing. If a platform isn't supported, we say so. The changelog is public. Pricing is upfront. No dark patterns.
